Nahouw

Nahouw is the competition website that we use in the Netherlands, for every official tournament you will have to sign yourself up through this website.

First off, you will need a KNAS account, this account can be created by the current board of E.S.S.V. Hoc Habet and can be done by request. KNAS membership will cost the following per year:

22 and younger: €36,15

23 and older: €72,30

*Till membership: €6,00

*A Till membership is a membership which makes you a KNAS member for 3 months, this can only be done once.

Once you created your KNAS account you are able to sign yourself up on the Nahouw website. Click on “Inloggen voor KNAS-leden” (Sign up for KNAS-members) and fill in the following information:

User name: Your KNAS relationship number

Password: Your Password

Once you are logged in with OnzeRelaties you’ll be send back to the Nahouw website, but now logged into your account.

The next step to see all the competitions that are happening is to click on “Wedstrijden” (Tournaments) and you will be able to see a lot of varying competitions. Don’t be overwhelmed, just click on “Nederland” (Netherlands) in the top left of the screen and Nahouw will only show competitions held in the Netherlands.

After clicking the button you will see every competition that will be held in the Netherlands. This page updates from time to time so be sure to regularly check the page to see if new tournaments have been added!

The important categories to take a look at are the “Wapen” (Weapon) and “Cat.” (Category).

The “Wapen” category means which weapons will be played at the tournament, this is what every word means:

Sa: Sabre tournament

FL: Foil tournament

De: Epee tournament

Most tournaments offer multiple weapons at a singular tournament, but you can only partake in one weapon.

The Cat. category means if the tournament is just for fun (recreational) or if it is for official KNAS points.

Rec.: Recreational tournament

Int. International tournament (KNAS points)

Rec. Int.: Recreational International tournament (No KNAS points)

Once you are interested in going to a specific tournament there is more information to find through the usage of convocations and the Nahouw page. For this example we will use the Randstad tournament:

Once your on the page of the tournament you are interested in you are able to find a ton of information. Important to note is the “Datum” (Date) of the tournament, The “Adres” (Address) tab, The “Wapens” (weapons) tab and the “Bijlage” (attachment).

With the weapons tab you are able to see which age groups are going to be able to compete and if the tournament is an “Equipe” (group) tournament or an individual.

The most important is the convocation that is attached, in this document you are able to find the following: The starting times, parking spaces, connection to the tournament itself and any other valuable information. Be sure to check the convocation of every tournament you’re going to!

Now with all this information you are able to sign yourself up with the “Inschrijfformulier” (Signup form) button at the top left of the screen. In this screen you are able choose the weapon you are competing in and most of the time you are able to pay on this page as well. Also, be sure to check out the “Inschrijving” (Signups) tab to see who is joining the tournament already!

With all this information you will be able to join any tournament that is on Nahouw! If you have any questions feel free to email us at: board@hochabet.nl
